I don't know why I take so long to put one up.. probably as I cannot remember anything to update everyone on?
Right now I have run off to a local cafe to tyoe my blog and I have started with 5% battery left. Great start.
So whats new? I have no idea. We have had a bunch of teams and visitors this year which has been AMAZING. I have made and said goodbye to many friends already and its ONLY BEEN 4 MONTHS haha. such is life.
The bees are going great - we have had some honey harvest and are hoping to multiply our hives over the next few weeks. Its coming into baby goat season again. We are trying to find buyers for our goats now as we would like to only raise a handful instead of a herd.
Our new rototiller is going great. We are able to plow up the ground so much quicker now that we aren't just using hoe's. Seriously what took us a week now takes us like 1 hour. Totally worth it.
The boys are doing well. Bon and Lijoo are on school holidays but are both doing work placement during this time. Ben is having a great time learning English with all the westerners we have at the farm. Nakong is still kind of around. I think he's got a job in construction and wants to learn to be a local "paramedic" (really a glorified body snatcher - like go to a crash scene - throw them in the back of a car and race them to the nearest hospital).
One new fun addition we have right now is Boom Boom. He's with us for two weeks over the school holidays and John is loving having a mini me to follow him around and ADORE him. They are attached at the hip!
We have an overload of tomatoes. We are trying to sell some, eat a bunch, preserve some and then the rest goes to the animals. Its pretty exciting to finally have a real harvest coming in.
Our mud hut is going well. Slow but well. We have been working on this house for over a year now - slow and steady right?? I'm assuming it will take us a few more months before its actually livable. Having my own bathroom in a house will be totally worth it #smallthings
The pineapples are doing really well. Despite having a pretty hot dry season, they have mostly survived and some are starting to have tiny fruit. YAY. I don't think I can tell you how many fails we have had, so just one baby pineapple makes me sigh and go to my happy place. Yes I am that simple right now.
Anyway, I better finish up and add some pics before the laptop dies completely. Sorry its not a great blog - just a mini update. If you have any ideas about what you would like me to update /write about please let me know as I am sooo bad at this. Actually I might do a blog on INDIA soon. That's a great idea!
LOVE YOU ALL
